Sir Jose “Pepe” Diaz became Knight Commander of the Sovereign Order of Cyprus 
Sir Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Knight of the Sovereign Order  of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the  Autonomous Priories (KMFAP), serves as Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board  of County Commissioners, and as Commissioner for District 12, which  includes the cities of Doral, Hialeah, Gardens Medley, Sweetwater and a  large portion of unincorporated Miami-Dade County. The most populous  county in Florida, Miami-Dade County is home to 34 incorporated  municipalities, cities, towns and villages, as well as to unincorporated  communities and neighbourhoods.  
 
 
 
 
 
On the 28th February 2022, Sir Jose Pepe Diaz -  Knight of Malta received at his office in Miami a delegation of the  Sovereign Order of Cyprus – Knights of Sword and Silence, led by  H.G. Sir George Popper, Executive Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign  Order of Cyprus. On this special occasion, Sir Jose was decorated with  the insignia of the Sovereign Order of Cyprus, which is the military  branch of the KMFAP, in recognition of his exceptional activity in  favour of security in various aspects of the residents of his county.  Receiving the blue cape, the neck cross of Cyprus, Sir Jose Pepe Diaz  became a Knight Commander of Sword and Silence.  
 
 
 
 
 
Since its foundation in the 12th century, the  Sovereign Order of Cyprus has always been a small, elite group of  reliable and loyal knights who provided protection and security to the  Kings of Cyprus.
